Frequently Asked Questions
Are your reseller plans anonymous?[Return to Top]
We have made every effort to ensure that our reseller system is as anonymous as possible. Server hostnames do not feature our company name nor do any of the control panel systems. You even get a set of personal nameservers to hide us from your customers in that respect too!
Can I brand the control panel?[Return to Top]
Yes! The control panel can be completely branded to suit your own company's identity.
Can I resell your reseller plans?[Return to Top]
Yes, you may resell our reseller plans in exchange for a 15% discount on the monthly, biannual or annual fee. Once you are enrolled as a reseller you will be provided with more information on how to go about this.
If you are considering selling your own reseller plans you may wish to consider our Cloud Hosting option, where you will have access to the server admin and could create your own reseller plans.
Can you support my customers?[Return to Top]
No. The main reason we are able to offer you such a great package at such a great price is because you deal directly with your customers, they do not seek support from us. Even if you are relatively new to this, you will find that in time, and through our extensive knowledge base and client community, you will very quickly be able to answer most of your clients' questions. Should you be sent a question you do not understand fully, we will be able to offer you our advice, which you can then relay to your customers.
Do I get my own nameservers?[Return to Top]
Yes, with every reseller account we include two custom nameservers. These would be in the format of ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com ensuring that we stay completely out of the picture as far as your clients are concerned.
Do you allow overselling?[Return to Top]
We allow overselling of data transfer, since this is one of the primary ways that you are able to market your service to your clients. We give a generous amount of data transfer, and although you will most likely never hit your maximum capacity, we also allow you to sell more data transfer to your clients than you actually have allotted to your account! This is because in reality, most of the users you sell web services to will never use more than a small fraction of what they are allotted, but may be attracted to your service if they feel you are offering better value for money and offering high data transfer levels. Should your actual transfer usage reach your plan volume, you may simply upgrade your plan to the next level.
We do not, however, allow you to oversell your disk space as this is a dangerous practice that is very different from overselling data transfer. Should the data transfer usage increase unexpectedly we would simply be able to allocate more to that server without any interruption to service whatsoever, however with disk space, should a number of resellers alot more disk space to their clients, and then a fraction of those clients begin to use the space allocated to them, it is not easily possible to increase the amount of disk space in the server. Should disk space on the server fill rapidly, this can lead to stability issues, overloaded servers and an overall poor quality of service. Consequently by not allowing this to be done, we can ensure that our service is as stable as possible, and that our clients and your clients enjoy the best hosting service possible.
If your disk space requirements are great you may wish to consider our Cloud Hosting offering, where you will be able to oversell disk space and can even create your own resellers!
How soon can I get set up?[Return to Top]
We manually verify every reseller order to prevent fraud. Accounts are therefore normally set up within a few hours of receiving the order, although we guarantee you will wait no more than 24 hours.
Unlimited domains? Surely not...[Return to Top]
With your Kualo reseller account, you are able to host as many domains as you can fit within your resource allocation. This means that you can host a few large accounts, or many smaller accounts - there are no set limits on the amount of domains you can host!
What servers do you run?[Return to Top]
Our latest servers are multi-core Intel Xeon or AMD Operton servers with 8GB RAM. The drives are all in a RAID array, which provides for protection in the event of drive failure as the data is distributed across multiple disks. We are able to replace any faulty disk without even bringing down the server.
