How many domains does Kualo host?
We presently host over 10,000 web sites for users across the globe, from small personal sites to complex online stores and everything in between.
 
How long have you been in business?
We have been in business for over four years, and officially incorporated in 2000. You can read about us here.
 
Do you accept international orders?
Yes we do! We currently have clients from over thirty countries worldwide. Unfortunately, there are some countries that we are unable to serve due to government imposed trading sanctions. The countries that this includes are as follows.

Balkans, Burma, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, North Korea, Sudan, Syria and Zimbabwe.
 
What currency do you bill in?
The currency you are billed in depends on which division of Kualo you sign up with. If you sign up with Kualo UK, you will be billed in GBP, with Kualo USA, in USD and with Kualo Canada in CAD or USD.
 
There are three divisions of Kualo, which one should I sign up with?
We have divisions in the UK, USA and Canada. If you are from one of those countries, then you are required to sign up with your local office. This is for administrative purposes, enabling us to offer you a more local service. If you are from countries other than the three we service directly, then we recommend that you sign up to the closest one to where you live, although you are at liberty to choose the division of your choice.
 
What payment methods do you accept?
As we have three different divisions, payment systems vary between each one.

Kualo UK
We are able to accept Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Delta, MasterCard, JCB, Switch and Solo cards. Cheques and postal orders are accepted for amounts exceeding £40.00 GBP.

Kualo USA
We are able to accept Visa, MasterCard and JCB cards. Checks are accepted for amounts exceeding $60.00 USD.

Kualo Canada
We are able to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and JCB cards. Checks are accepted for amounts exceeding $80.00 CAD.
 
Do I get a discount for paying for longer periods?
Yes! We are happy to reward clients who decide to sign up for longer term contracts with us, and offer discounts on biannual and annual purchases of up to the equivilant of two months free web hosting! All web hosting accounts paid on an annual basis will also have any setup fees waived.
 
Are you able to create a custom virtual or reseller hosting plan for me?
We do not offer custom virtual or reseller hosting plans, so you would need to select the most appropriate plan from our wide selection. We do provide custom dedicated server solutions. To find out more, please contact us.
 
If I outgrow the plan I am on, how do I upgrade?
Upgrading your account is simple. You would simply log a support ticket on our helpdesk, and let us know your master domain name, billing reference number and the plan you would like to upgrade to. Your account will be upgraded as soon as our billing team are able to process the request (normally within a few hours).
 
How can I transfer to you from my current web host?
For web hosting clients, we will transfer your account free of charge. For resellers, we will transfer up to 20 accounts free of charge. If you have more than 20 accounts that need to be transferred, we charge a small fee additional transfers:

$25 USD / £15 GBP / $37 CAD : 1 - 25 additional accounts
$50 USD / £30 GBP / $74 CAD : 26 - 50 additional accounts
$100 USD / £60 GBP / $148 CAD : 51 - 100 additional accounts

Please note that your old web host must use the cPanel control panel system. If you require more than 100 accounts transferred, please contact us for a quote.
 
Am I allowed to host adult web sites?
We do not allow adult content to be served from our shared web hosting, reseller or VPS services. You may host legal adult content on a dedicated server - please contact us for details.
 
Do you offer 24 hour support?
Yes, we offer real human support 24 hours a day every day of the year, so no matter what part of the world you are in, we will be here ensuring that your website is running all the time. Support is primarily conducted via our online helpdesk and through our customer community forums, however we understand that customers who are new to web hosting may find it somewhat overwhelming, so from time to time we are happy to offer assistance over the phone.

In most cases, however, our online support desk and forums provide the most efficient way for us to provide technical assistance as it is normally easier to understand a problem when written down, and it also enables multiple technicians to look at your issue simultaneously. Our support desk response times are extremely fast, almost always within an hour and normally within just a few minutes.
 
Do you have an uptime guarantee?
We offer a 99.5% uptime guarantee on all web hosting and web hosting reseller accounts, although actual uptimes are normally even higher than this. Our monitoring systems observe all our servers and networking equipment across all three facilities every minute of every day, and alert staff whenever issues arise so that they may be dealt with in a timely manner. We are red-hot on communication, so should even the most minor issue occur we will let you know through our important announcement system, updating the announcement as the issue is resolved. Kualo is unique from many hosting companies as we actually allow clients to publicly respond and comment on any issues of downtime with our staff, management and other clients, ensuring you receive the best communication possible. In the unusual event that we do not meet our uptime guarantee, we are happy to refund ALL of your hosting fee in accordance with our Service Level Agreement.
 
Do you offer a 30 day money back guarantee?
We hope that you will be happy with the service we provide you, however if you are not, or if for any reason you would like to leave us, we are happy to offer refunds to you. In order to qualify for our 30 day money back guarantee you must not have violated any of our policies and your account must not have used more than 50% of its data transfer allocation.
 
Where are your servers located?
We house servers in two locations worldwide; in Tampa, USA and in London, UK. Both facilities are connected via premium grade bandwidth carriers and have all the latest technologies to ensure the maximum in stability and reliability. What are your typical server specifications?
We use a combination of custom built and Dell PowerEdge servers, with all servers using brand name parts. Currently, new shared servers boast Dual Intel Xeon 2.6GHz processors (4 virtual processors), have 2GB ECC Reg DDR RAM and SCSI hard drives. Do you offer a control panel?
We use the cPanel control panel system, which is considered by many to be the most functional control panel system in existance today. The control panel is included by default with web hosting and reseller accounts, and can be added to VPS and dedicated servers for a small fee. Is there a minimum term contract?
All contracts are on a month to month basis, however the payment frequencies for our plans vary. Taking out a longer term contract of three to twelve months will result in some substantial savings on our regular pricing.
