Yes, we have Gigabit LAN switches on all our racks. This means if you wish to connect two or more dedicated servers so they can connect over a backend LAN, you can!

Can you manage my server for me?[Return to Top]

Yes, we understand that you may not have the time or ability to manage your own server. We have a range of dedicated server management plans available to suit your requirements and your budget. Alternatively if you have mission critical uptime requirements you may wish to consider our Advanced Managed Hosting solutions, where we can engineer solutions for absolute high availability.

Do you offer load balancing?[Return to Top]

Yes we operate redundant hardware load balancers. If you have a high traffic web site, or have specific redundancy requirements, we can connect your servers to the load balancer to distribute traffic across your servers.

We can additionally place these servers on different power circuits, and on different switches, so that you are redundant in the unlikely event of power failure or switch failure.

How long until my server is ready?[Return to Top]

If we have stock of your server, we can normally get it up within 24 hours. If it is a custom build or we need to change your configuration you will normally need to wait 2-10 working days for the server to be built and configured.

We always have same-day availability on our Cloud Hosting infrastructure, which you may wish to consider if you have an immediate high-performance requirement.

How quickly do you replace faulty hardware?[Return to Top]

We have numerous standby servers available at any given time. We also stock spares of all hardware. In the event of hardware failure we will normally be able to replace it within the hour of the fault being detected, and our terms guarantee a two hour maximum replacement time.

What type of servers do you use?[Return to Top]

We've selected Supermicro as our hardware partner for our servers. We've chosen Supermicro as they are the leading manufacturer of high performance and energy efficient servers. All parts are high end server-grade, unlike many of our competitors, we don't use low cost desktop parts prone to failure.
