Web Hosting & Web Hosting Reseller Accounts
Secure shell access can be enabled on all web hosting and web hosting reseller accounts free of charge. For security
purposes, however, we require you to email or fax
a photo ID (driving license, military card, university card etc.) for the owner of the account in question to ssh@kualo.com.
This stands for any account
that requires SSH, whether that be a web site maintained by the account holder or a resold account.
Please note that SSH access is not available on MailOnly plans.
The person on that card will then accept all responsibility if any damage, malicious or otherwise comes from the privilege of having secure shell
access.
Every client will be subject to this policy, there will be no exceptions. So, if you need shell enabled, send an email to ssh@kualo.com and include the
following:
Account Domain:
Account Username:
Valid Reason SSH is required:
Attach the photo ID with this email. It is also a good idea to open a helpdesk ticket so that we can track the SSH activation. Provided all these are
correctly filled in, and the ID attached, shell will then be enabled on that account as soon as possible. We reserve the right to refuse shell access if we do not feel that your stated reason is valid.
VPS & Dedicated Servers
Root SSH access can be enabled on all VPS and Dedicated Servers on request. We do not require photo identification for SSH access on these types of
accounts.
